A Prime Location for Global Tourism
During its high-profile press conference on July 14, 2026, Misr Abu Dhabi for Real Estate Investments (MAD) showcased highly advanced development plans for a premier 7,500 square meter plot situated directly opposite the Grand Egyptian Museum. Relying on comprehensive technical and feasibility studies conducted by the global hospitality consultancy HVS, MAD designated this prime location for a luxury 200-room hotel project. The development is strategically structured to capture the surging international tourism flows converging on West Cairo. By leveraging the newly established road networks, Sphinx Airport, and the unprecedented global interest in the museum, MAD is positioning this asset to become a world-class integrated hospitality destination that significantly bolsters Egypt's rapidly growing tourism capacity.
Securing Partnerships for Sustainable Yields
The flagship project attracted massive investor interest, prompting MAD to evaluate proposals from nine different investors before shortlisting three top-tier operators possessing exceptional technical and financial capabilities. Speaking on this rigorous selection process on July 14, 2026, Maged Salah, CEO of MAD, underscored the company’s philosophy. "We are not looking to simply sell the land, but rather to find a partner who contributes to maximizing the asset’s intrinsic value and achieving sustainable returns," Salah explained. Rather than a quick divestment, MAD will retain a substantial equity stake in the hospitality asset. This approach guarantees a steady stream of recurring operational income and continuous foreign currency revenues, ensuring long-term profitability
