A New Era of Institutional Real Estate Investment
During a landmark press conference held on July 14, 2026, Misr Abu Dhabi for Real Estate Investments (MAD) officially announced its corporate transformation into a premier asset management powerhouse. Following a complete transition to 100% Egyptian ownership, the company is now robustly backed by major national financial institutions, prominently including Banque Misr and Misr Capital. This formidable institutional foundation is supported by EGP 4 billion in paid-in capital, granting MAD the financial capacity to manage a diversified asset portfolio currently valued at approximately EGP 10 billion. Instead of competing in the conventional market of merely purchasing land for rapid residential unit sales, MAD is fundamentally shifting the industry paradigm by restructuring underutilized assets.
Strategic Vision for Sustainable Economic Value
Addressing the media during the July 14, 2026 event, Maged Salah, CEO of MAD, clearly defined this strategic departure from standard market practices. "We do not present ourselves as a traditional real estate developer, but as a specialized entity in managing and maximizing the value of real estate assets," Salah stated. By shifting focus away from short-term capital gains, MAD operates with the disciplined mindset of an asset manager, evaluating every site for its optimal economic usage. Salah further elaborated on the company's objective: "Our ultimate goal is to transform the portfolio into a productive investment platform that delivers sustainable returns for shareholders and adds real value to the national economy".
